Friends of Oundle Library
If you love having a library in Oundle, why not be a Friend?
Being a Friend of Oundle Library
We love Oundle Library and we’ve missed being able to visit. But from 19 July public libraries across Northamptonshire will start to offer a ‘near-to-normal’ service. It will be tiny steps at first but it’s steps nonetheless, so we’re beginning to hope it won’t be long before our library will be allowed to return to be the busy community hub it was.
Oundle Library offers something for everyone – of every age. Over the years it’s survived major and minor reorganisations, as well as budget cuts, to remain at the heart of our community. We expect it to remain there and, as Friends, our sole concern is to make sure our library thrives. It’s free to be a Friend. Will you join us?
Summer Reading Challenge 2021
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge introduces a whole new cast of characters – the Wild World Heroes! It’s all about inspiring children to read books and think about the environment and planet-saving ideas. There’s lots happening at Oundle Library, with a timetable of free virtual activities and an animal picture hunt in association with Barnwell Country Park – with prizes! Click here to find out more.
From 19 July 2021 …
… you’ll be allowed to visit Oundle Library and its garden without an appointment and with no time limits. There will still be restrictions in place, but the aim is to offer a ‘near-to-normal’, standard library service and to reinstate additional services as and when it is deemed safe and appropriate to do so. While lockdown continues Oundle Library’s opening hours are:
Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm
Saturdays 10am to 2pm.
