2021 Annual General Meeting
If times were normal, this week we’d be sending out a notice with the date of our AGM, and asking you for nominations to the committee and matters for discussion.
Our Constitution states that an AGM should be held every 12 months, and that no more than 15 months may elapse between these meetings. Clearly we’re not in a position to hold any sort of meeting while we’re in lockdown, but we still have to think about what needs to be done.
The latest date we can hold the meeting will be 12 June. Of course we don’t yet know if the library will be open again for customers by then (although we sincerely hope it is). Neither do we know if all the social distancing rules will still apply.
So, for the time being, we must ‘wait and see’. We hope we’ll be able to have the AGM before the deadline, but we’ll keep an eye on the situation and keep everyone informed.
We do already know we’ll be looking for new members for our FOOL committee, so if you’d like to find out what’s involved or put your name forward, please contact us. Email email@example.com or write to The Secretary, Friends of Oundle Library, c/o Oundle Library, Glapthorn Road, Oundle PE8 4JA.
