OUNDLE LIBRARY

A Warm Space

Oundle Library has always been a warm and welcoming place to visit, and it’s also a registered Warm Space for anyone who is struggling to heat their home this winter.

A Warm Space

We’re all familiar with the effects of rising prices and the cost of keeping our homes warm. For many people, keeping warm can be a real challenge – especially those with disabilities, the elderly, and low-income households. And that’s where Oundle Library and other local Warm Spaces can really help. So don’t let yourself get cold this winter … visit the library!

Oundle Library is always a lovely place to visit, and of course you can always find a quiet corner to read a book, use the free WiFi, or do a bit of knitting. But during these cold winter months you can also enjoy …

Free hot drinks

Tea and coffee are available on a self-serve basis during opening hours.

Games and activities

You don’t have to wait for a timetabled event. There are always toys available for children to play with and – whether you’re a child or an adult – there are also board games, jigsaws and other activities for you to use when you want. Why not arrange to meet your friends at the library and enjoy some time with them there?

Signposting and information

And don’t forget, the library is the place to ask for help finding services and support that might be available.

Try a group

As well as special events and activities, every week the library organises regular events for every age group … from Storytime & Crafts sessions for the Under 5’s to the Spin A Yarn group for adults every Monday morning. There’s also a weekly French Language Café and Oundle Crime, our crime fiction book group meets at the library every month.

What’s On and when

At the beginning of every month Oundle Library publishes a What’s On timetable, which shows all the activities being planned. You can pick up a printed copy at the library desk or download a copy here

The library is always looking for new things to offer, so if you have ideas for groups or activities, speak to a member of the team. And keep an eye open for updates and announcements of what’s bein planned. Facebook is a good place to find up-to-date information and both the Friends and the library itself have pages you can check:
