Health Information Fair

On 22 January there’s a Health Information Fair at Oundle Library from 10.30am to 12pm. It’s a free, drop-in session that can put you in touch with various organisations/charities who can help with different health conditions.

New! Baby Time group starts 9 January

There’s a new Baby Time group starting at Oundle Library. on Friday mornings in term time, from 10am to 11am. For ages 0-12 months it will be sociable and fun … and a great chance for the little ones to explore the library’s sensory toys and books. Free to attend.

Oundle Library is a Warm Space

Oundle Library is once again a registered Warm Space this winter – a place you can go to spend time and keep warm. Free hot drinks and snacks are available, as well as activities and events for adults, children and families. There are other local registered Warm Spaces too.

Our 2026 Scenes Around Oundle calendar is now on sale. Twelve lovely photos of local landscapes, architecture and wildlife to illustrate the year ahead and it costs only £8.00. Thanks to the local businesses who sponsor us, all the money we raise from sales allows the Friends to fund all sorts of ‘extras’ at Oundle Library …

You can see it!

Have you noticed Oundle Library is now visible from the road? Friday, 5 September was a red-letter day because the council’s contractors came to cut the hedge and – for the first time in several years – you can now see the library building as you walk or drive along Glapthorn Road. Our thanks to Max and his team for persevering to get this work done.

Learn a language

Why not learn a new language, or improve the language skills you already have? Or perhaps you’d like to introduce your child to a new language? Northamptonshire’s library service has signed up for a one-year subscription to an online language-learning service called Transparent Language, which library customers can use free of charge. All you need is a library card!
